AB Glass, the Swansea-based glass production company, has welcomed a number of measures announced in the 2014-15 Budget designed to boost the construction industry and housing market. Overall, Director Alan Brayley is optimistic and very happy with changes that are being made this year, especially the Construction Industry Scheme, which will look to be improved by the summer of 2014 while it also introduced changes to the Business Premises Renovation Allowance. The government promised to simplify this scheme and reduce the risk of people exploiting it. “This is a very good thing for our ageing commercial premises stock in Wales. I think this will be well received across the UK and in Wales,” said Brayley.
