Here at AB Glass we always try to help wherever we can. After receiving a request from Willmott Dixon, one of our customers to assist in supporting flood victims in Fordgate we were only too pleased to stand up and be counted.
A couple whose home was devastated during the floods at the start of the year, Maria and Phillip Maye were evacuated from their home in Fordgate, on 6th February 2014 due to increased flood water levels, which eventually rose to over a metre inside their cottage. They did not return until March, and were left saddened and shocked by the damage the floods had done.
With their insurance made void, they could not afford the repair costs and were given new hope, when contractors from around the UK and Willmott Dixon rebuilt their home from the stripped, bare bricked walls, to replace plaster, tile floors, fix electrics, hang new doors, replace skirting, paint, decorate and replace glass. We were only to keen to help where we could, we replaced some glass at the property free of charge in support.
We have had a lovely letter of thanks from Maria and Phillip.
