A director of a Swansea-based business has successfully completed a tough training day and assessment, in order to set the standard within his business with regards to health and safety, compliance and best practice.
Alan Brayley, founder and managing director of AB Glass, recently passed The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Safety for Senior Executives course. IOSH is the only chartered body for health and safety professionals in the world.
IOSH works with businesses across the globe in an effort to raise the health and safety standards within companies.
The senior executive course gives directors and senior personnel within a company help on how to reduce liability and risk as well. The idea of the course is to improve their understanding of compliance, best practice, and how to avoid litigation and damage to a business’ reputation.
On completing the course, Brayley said:
“I am really pleased I passed the course, it was a tough day with a lot of information to take in. As a business that is constantly developing, it is important that senior staff keep on top of necessary Health & Safety requirements.
“I am now looking forward to attending a NEBOSH General Certificate 12 day course in September at Gower College, Swansea.”
