AB Glass, one of the largest aluminium manufacturing and installation company’s in Wales, has strengthened the business with a move that has seen it increase its number of staff, as well as adding to its fleet of branded vehicles and manufacturing machinery.
The Wales-based business recently hired five staff to work across four departments: administration, finance, design and fabrication. Rebecca Keane will be based in the administration office, Marcelina Lechwar will be based in finance, Andrew Hall will be working in the drawing office, and Neil Sullivan and Lukas Olejnik have been employed as fabricators.
As well as expanding its team, AB Glass has also purchased three new branded vehicles to add to its existing fleet. The purpose of the vans is to enhance the existing fleet by reduction and replacement with new more reliable vehicles.
A new hydraulic crimping machine has been brought in to boost the production line, making it more efficient and adding to the existing high quality products produced.

“Expanding the team has proven to be a logical business move for us. Everyone is fitting in really well with the existing team and they are all bringing their own ideas to the table. There has been a lot of uncertainty in the manufacturing industry recently with inconsistent employment figures and the loss of over 1000 jobs at Tata Steel and we are happy we have been able to increase our team again in 2016.
“The vehicles will play the vital role in getting our site managers and staff around our existing projects and also traveling to meet new customers. The large delivery vehicle will assist in the delivery of our products to site safely and securely. Having reliable quality transport is vital to the business, replacing older vehicles for new is part of our ongoing measures for improvement and to show our customers we care about the service we provide.
“The new Hydraulic Crimper will add speed to our existing production processes by increasing crimping capacity. We gain efficiencies and better quality which our customers have come to expect and get.”
AB Glass specialises in the manufacture and installation of facades, curtain walling, windows, doors and structural glass assemblies for both the domestic and commercial market.
