AB Glass is pleased to announce that its team who worked on the recent Callywith College Bodmin project have received recognition by Kier Group through being given the sub-contractor SHE award.
Supervisor Andy Nunn and his operatives were awarded by the leading property, construction and services group for their positive contribution to collaborative working with Kier’s safety, health and environment (SHE) management system requirement on the Callywith College Bodmin project, based in Cornwall.
The AB Glass team were praised for raising and promoting SHE awareness, which enables projects to become more efficient when working collaboratively, and without any incidents.
The SHE award also gives AB Glass credit to Kier’s procurement team in the scoring of its supply chain.
The AB Glass team will visit the Callywith College Bodmin site towards the end of the month (March 2017) to receive formal recognition from Kier of their SHE award and positive contribution to the project. A £50 gift voucher will also be presented to the team for their outstanding SHE practices and expertise.
Managing director of AB Glass, Alan Brayley, commented:
“I’m so proud of our team for receiving this recognition. We take our health, safety and environmental responsibilities very seriously at AB Glass and having this acknowledgement by a leading UK construction firm is a fantastic achievement. This is really great news for all of the team, especially those who provided their expertise during their time at the Callywith College Bodmin project.”
