AB Glass, the Swansea-based company that specialises in the manufacture and installation of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling, has reported a record-breaking financial year for 2016.
AB Glass’ turnover has risen by 10 percent for the 2016 financial year period. The company’s margin has increased by over 112 percent, which has been attributed to more efficiency in operations and management systems.
These latest annual results are evidence that AB Glass has gone from strength to strength over the past two financial accounting periods.
Showing its commitment to training and welfare, AB Glass has spent over £3 million on staff and associated costs during the past 12 months. This has included support provided to apprentices and training for employees in general.
Sharron Newton, Financial Director at AB Glass, commented:
“Our policy of retaining most of our profits within the company has proved to be invaluable as we build up strong reserves. This approach has allowed us to be able to support increasing levels of working capital, which has given the company the ability to successfully manage larger contracts and provide the platform to continue to deliver substantial projects moving forward.”
Alan Brayley, Managing Director of AB Glass, added:
“We are very pleased with the annual results and continuing our strategy of well managed and planned growth, whilst building a resilient and robust business geared around quality of product and staff. We will continue to work hard on our business practices and resources to enable us to constantly deliver an outstanding quality product. I am confident that we will further build on AB Glass’ success in the year ahead.”
