The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect across all EU member states on 25 May 2018, this means how companies store and use personal information is changing and will replace the Data Protection Act (1998) which is currently in place in the UK, it will create a single set of rules to modernise and update data privacy laws across Europe.
