Aluminium manufacturing and installation company AB Glass has been named Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Swansea Bay Business Awards 2020, at a ceremony held on Friday 6 March in Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall.
The Swansea-based company overcame tough competition from some of the most established businesses in the Swansea area, walking away with the Manufacturing Business of the Year award at the prestigious event hosted by TV presenter Frances Donovan.
The Swansea Bay Business Awards are the largest and most highly respected awards in the Swansea Bay region, celebrating some of the most significant successes in business in the area through recognising top firms and the individuals involved.
AB Glass specialises in the manufacture and installation of facades, curtain walling, windows, doors and structural glass assemblies for both the domestic and commercial markets, offering nationwide coverage with a first-rate quality service.
The company’s founder, Alan Brayley, started the business in 1991 with just one van and a desire to succeed. During this time, it has grown from strength to strength through continuously increasing its employee base, expanding the business’ offering and becoming experts in the commercial and domestic aluminium manufacturing and installation sector. The company now secures multi-million-pound projects with some of the UK’s leading construction and property development firms.
Alan Brayley, Chief Executive, AB Glass, said:
“I am so pleased with the recognition the company has received from the Swansea Bay Business Awards this year. Acknowledgement needs to be given to the team at AB Glass, as without them, we would not be where we are today. They are dedicated, hard-working and always willing to go the extra mile, and these attributes are vital to leading the company to continued success.
“There are so many outstanding businesses within the Swansea region – nominated at the awards – that to be named Manufacturing Business of the Year 2020 is an incredible honour.”
