Here at AB Glass, we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) to help create more positive experiences for young people in Wales.
We are doing this at what will be a pivotal moment for many young people. With the onset of the toughest jobs market in decades and predictions of mass youth unemployment, there will be a lack of opportunity for many young people in Wales.
As a bronze partner of the DofE in Wales we hope to enable transformational changes for young people helping them gain work-ready skills and attributes, including communication, teamwork and leadership, they need to stand out and succeed.
For the past seven decades, the DofE charity has inspired and transformed the lives of millions of young people from all walks of life. From volunteering to physical activities, life skills to expeditions, achieving a DofE Award is a passport to a brighter future, developing skills for work and life whilst being highly valued by employers and universities.
Alan Brayley, our managing director, said:
“We are delighted to partner with this remarkable charity, which is very close to my heart and does so much good for young people in Wales. We are proud to play a small part in helping to inspire, guide and support more young people in their self-development, helping them recognise their achievements.”
