It was a pleasure to see the final outcome of a project we are very proud of: Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School in the Afan Valley.
Working alongside contractor Morgan Sindall and sub-contractor Massey Cladding, we were responsible for a number of key aspects of the project, part of the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools and Education Programme, including the windows, curtain walling system, automatic doors and a number of other key aspects of the project.
Specifically, we installed a AA100 Curtain Walling system, a AA540 Window system and AA190TB thermally broken external doors (all were installed to PAS24 certification).
We also installed actuators these were for natural ventilation, ABAC Automatic doors supplied and installed by our own in house team of engineers AB Access Control (the doors fully comply to BSEN16005 certification). Louvers supplied and installed by AB Glass (Doors and Windows) based on the DUCO certified product range.
Justin John, our director, said: “This was another great project we worked on with the Morgan Sindall team in South Wales and one that will make a big difference to the more than 600 young people that attend Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School.
“Despite the challenging times we are living through, we were still able to complete this project while following government guidelines around safety and social distancing at all times.”
