Proud to support the Welsh Veterans Awards

Here at AB Glass, we are delighted to continue to support the Welsh Veterans Awards, an initiative that recognises the achievements of veterans in business, fitness, sport and the wider community.

AB Glass is the sponsor of the Employer of the Year Award while our Managing Director, Alan Brayley, is also proud to assist the organisation as a judge of the awards.

The Welsh Veterans Awards were delayed for a year due to the disruption caused by COVID-19 but will now go ahead at the Village Hotel Cardiff on September 9, 2021, hosted by Radio X DJ Polly James.

The awards recognise the many Armed Forces Veterans in Wales who have made the transition from the military to civilian life and rewards those who have gone above and beyond and excelled in their relevant fields. The awards act as role models for future service leavers.

Alan Brayley, our Managing Director and Deputy Lieutenant of West Glamorgan, said:

“I have a strong affinity with the armed forces and the veteran’s community in this part of Wales. I served in the Royal Regiment of Wales and Royal Welsh for 20 years, finishing my military career as a Sergeant Major. Since leaving the Forces, my company has employed many ex-service personnel and helped many more in other ways. I am a big supporter of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity – the national charity of the British Army.”
