Helping veterans in need through Royal Welsh sponsorship

We were recently presented with a certificate of appreciation from The Royal Welsh for our sponsorship of its regimental diary. It is only through donations such as this that the Regiment Support Service is able to financially assist the regimental charities of the Royal Welsh, that help service members and veterans who fall on hard times.

The Regiment Support Service is a not-for-profit body that helps regiments like The Royal Welsh produce regimental diaries and notebooks. The diaries are to be sent free to all regular, reserve and cadet units and of course to comrades throughout the principality. The notebooks are also sold to the business community as well as the general public, with all profits being donated to The Royal Welsh Regimental Welfare and Benevolence Foundation.

We were thanked by The Royal Welsh for our support, which is particularly appreciated given its a time when almost the whole Regiment is involved in world-wide conflicts in one way or another.

Our managing director, Alan Brayley, said:

“As a former service member myself, I know the importance of what organisations such as the Regimental Support Service are trying to achieve in providing vital financial aid, aiming to maintain the welfare of current and ex-service members. The regimental notebooks can be purchased by the general public, and every donation is appreciated to help those in need.”

Our support of The Royal Welsh reinforces our further support of armed forces organisations, including our sponsorship at the Welsh Veteran Awards in September, which you can read about here.
