Here at AB Glass, we are delighted to have completed work on one of the most prestigious and important projects in the city of Swansea in recent years.
We worked alongside global construction company ISG for developer Fusion Students to deliver a new 17-storey building for student accommodation, which will have commercial space on the ground floor, opposite Swansea Train Station.
The £65 million development will be home to 780 students. The accommodation will be a mix of apartments and studios, with all rooms en-suite. There will also be a gym, cinema, courtyard, and 20,000 sq ft of commercial ground floor space.
As part of the £1.6 million contract, we manufactured and installed the aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling. We also installed PVCu windows to the internal courtyard. The products we used were: Kawneer AA720e Windows; Kawneer AA100 Curtain Wall; Kawneer AA190TB Doors; and Rehau UPVc windows.
Nigel Harvey, our Managing Director, said:
“This is another prestigious project that we are proud to have played an important role in completing. While we work all over the UK, it is always nice to work on something this significant in our own city. It is fantastic to see a building such as this play an important role in regenerating a key part of the city while bringing jobs and people into the area, boosting the economy in the process.”
