Three new starters have joined abg Windows & Doors Specialists’ growing team, working out of the business’ 14,000 sqft purpose-built production facility and HQ in Fforestfach, Swansea.
abg is a leading manufacturer of commercial windows and doors, including glass windows and doors, UPVC windows and doors, aluminium windows and doors, and more. The whole team works across abg’s client-base from large-scale projects and local buildings, to its recent expansion into the domestic windows and doors market.
David Leckonby has joined abg to head up the production arm of the business as Factory Manager. On his appointment, he said: “I have always worked in engineering, starting as a Steel Fabricator and Mechanical Fitter, and progressing into managerial roles in manufacturing and engineering.
“What attracted me to abg was its specialism in the aluminium construction industry. With my previous work history and skillset I know I will be able to make an impact as well as seize the opportunity for self-development. I look forward to long and successful career with abg.”
Cameron Stewart joins as Estimator. He comments: “Having spent three years working independently as an estimator, I was eager to take the next step in my career by joining the dynamic team at abg. I saw this as an opportunity to not only contribute my expertise but also to expand my knowledge of the construction industry by collaborating with a talented team of professionals.
“I’m passionate about what I do, and I’m committed to delivering accurate and cost-effective estimates that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. Additionally, I’m an advocate for sustainable construction practices, and I’m excited to be a part of an organisation that values environmentally responsible building.”
Darren Griffiths joins as Storeman & Delivery Driver. He said: “Having previously worked in the public sector, I’m enjoying getting stuck into the role and getting to know my colleagues. It has been a fast-paced introduction and I’m getting to see how busy we are, working on various projects and planning for future ones.”
