The Hafod Renewal Area comprises around 1,060 homes and commercial retail properties. The area once had some of the poorest housing in Swansea, with some 35% deemed to be unfit for habitation. The broad programme laid out a 10 year strategic action plan with overall objectives to improve housing, environmental, and socio-economic conditions in this suburb of Swansea.
As part of the regeneration project, new shop fronts were created for a number of commercial premises to improve their facades. abg Windows and Doors Specialists were chosen to design, manufacture and install all the aluminium shop fronts. The shop fronts provide traditional character in various colours, with heritage style panels and signage.
