The new Tenby Lifeboat station was constructed to house and launch the RNLI’s state of the art Tamar class lifeboat.
Due to restrictions on vehicles passing through the narrow Georgian streets, all materials had to be delivered by sea using an MB2 amphibious landing vehicle which was loaded and launched from nearby Penally.
The main contractor Dean and Dyball Ltd appointed abg Windows and Doors Specialists to undertake the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling using Kawneer 603 Tilt/Turn windows, 605, 190 doors and 1202 curtain walling extrusions. The building was finished in anodised Sandalor blue and glazed with self clean 24mm double glazed units.
